About The Host:

Rachel Davis MA, PPS

Hi there! I’m Rachel a school counselor turned entrepreneur with big plans. I’m a born and raised Georgia girl but when I moved to San Diego for grad school, I fell in love with California and lived there for 5 years. Life was pretty perfect in San Diego. I had an amazing job as an elementary school counselor, great friends, and an awesome house, but then my husband, Grant, and I decided to leap out of our comfort zones in pursuit of our dream life. So in Fall 2017 we quit our jobs, sold everything we owned, and backpacked around the world for two years! We visited 28 countries, had some wild adventures, met incredible people, and formed meaningful connections.

When we left for our trip, we had some savings but we wanted a location independent passive income stream. We had this dream for a while so in 2016 I had started creating and selling my school counseling resources in my Teachers Pay Teachers store, Bright Futures Counseling. It was some small supplemental income, but in 2017 I decided to fully invest in my business so I started the Elite Edupreneurs Podcast and turned my TpT side hustle into a full-time career!

Selling my counseling resources online literally allowed us to travel the world. We carried around our laptops and worked when we got the chance. I love hosting the Elite Edupreneurs podcast  where I get to motivate and help others design their dream life!

So what am I doing now? I live in Tamarindo, Costa Rica with my husband Grant and our two sons, Marin and Hobie. (The boys were born here and are dual-citizens!)

We love long term travel and still throw on the backpacks every now and then. You can usually find me on a boat, a beach, or a plane! I love yoga, cooking, sailing, and scuba diving.
